Hello there, how has your day been?  Today I was at the Craft Alive held in my local town helping out with the SCRAPMATTS shop and I had a great time, meeting people and chatting and sharing the shared love of scrapbooking..  Before the show, I was sent two new Templates for cards and some new chipboard.. So I had a sit down and created a few things and took them with me to the show today to be put on display..
The new templates are so new they are not listed in the online shop yet, but soon will be..  They are so easy to use and I am sure I will be making lots more cards this way..

These are the cards I made, two different styles..

and a side view..

and the second style..

and a side view.

And I was also sent some brand new chipboard and it is so pretty... It is called Wildflowers and I think it will be a new favorite of mine!! So I created a layout using some of this new Chipboard..

some closer views.
I embossed the chipboard in white and added some pink Liquid pearls in the centers.. I also covered in the flowers with pink paper..

A lovely butterfly embossed in pink.

Pretty as a Flower.

The Title is a new chipboard as well.. So this layout is on display at the show..

So thanks for coming by and thanks so much to you all who leave lovely comments for me to read.. I appreciate each one...

Hi I am Jodi, Owner/Designer at Corbett Creations Wood Veneers. My laser cutting business is currently based in Canberra and has been something I have been working on for a little while now. It came about because I would be constantly frustrated that I couldn't find the perfect title or embellishment to finish off layouts, projects or gifts. I would then spend far too long trying to create the perfect embellishment and would sometimes rope my husband in to help me with all this cool tools in the man shed! He has a love for wood also and together we purchased our laser. I love being able to design and cut the perfect piece for someone to finish telling their story - the perfect title, the hard to find themed embellishment, a custom piece for the home or a meaningful gift, really makes me feel so happy because I know that their search is over and they have the perfect piece that they desired. I love to create in wood, chipboard, cardstock, paper and acrylic with so many different mediums I can create so many embellishments and titles - the possibilities are endless. Good luck and I look forward to seeing everyone's entries!
Visit us on Facebook:Corbett Creations Wood Veneers

Now let's get started with the challenge, here is your sketch....

  and my layout...

some closer views ...

Lots of layers, and stamping on the back ground to add some interest!

I have used a mix of older Kaisercraft papers for this layout...

Well I do thank you so much for coming by and I really do appreciate any comments you leave me too..
Until next time...

Well good morning on this new day and new month of February...  Yes shaking my head again at how quickly January disappeared...

The new challenge for KRAFT + - FEBRUARY is such a fun one, and I hope you find something to inspire you to join in this month... Not only do you get to be creative, there are amazing prizes from very special sponsors!

and the challenge...
to be inspired by ABBA!  Now unless you have only been alive a short while I am sure you have heard of ABBA.. I had them around when I was in my teens, and loved to sing their songs when they came on the radio and then when I was working able to buy their records or cassettes.. and then CD's..  Make sure you check out all the inspiration from the DT on the blog HERE!!!!!

Well I had lots of thoughts but the thing that is really on my mind at the moment is that my Daughter is expecting her first baby, and my first grandbaby!!! sooo exciting!! So I had to go with

MAMMA MIA!! If you say it and throw your hands up and down like an Italian might.. and no offense to any Italians as my Daughters partner is of that ancestry!!

so some closer views..

I grabbed a photo off facebook that was their Baby announcement, so I had to add hearts for the love they share!!

Exciting news indeed!!

and yes it is a little girl on the way!! So I used some pink... and not too much longer to go... and I will have grandbaby photos to scrap!!!

Thanks for coming by today, and I do appreciate all the wonderful comments you leave me...  Have an exceptionally wonderful day!!

ANNAS CRAFT CUPBOARD Mini Challenge - Doileys..

Hello there,
I am sitting here listening to the rain, coming in spits and I am hoping this is going to hang around for a few days..  It has given us a bit of a break from the relentless heat, so here's hoping...

I felt like creating something and hoped I would finish it before the end of the month, because if you are like me, sometimes I start something and life happens and I dont get back to it for a few days!!  I cant believe how quickly January has flown by... It just doesn't seem like it has been long enough!!! but by the end of this week it will be a new month!!

The challenge over at ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD - Mini Challenge on Facebook was to use doileys...  well I have heaps of them so I thought I would create a layout using doileys..

and a couple of closer views first..

I have layered two doileys and added flowers and pieces of a brick wall die as well as leaves cut from a die.

This is a photo of my DD taken quite a few years ago...  She was such a cutie!!

Well just a quick post, thanks for dropping by... I hope your January has been a good one! Thanks so much to those who leave me a little comment too.. I do appreciate each one of them...

Good day to you!
I trust things are going well for you..  I am sitting in front of the fan as the  night air slowly cools down a bit..
With these hot days I have been doing a bit of scrapping and the latest challenge for MORE THAN WORDS grabbed my attention as I had a birthday girl last month, so I grabbed the photo off facebook and began to create.. this is the challenge...
To scrap about a birthday and use at least two tags..
I got out some Cocoa Vanilla papers and started on my background and then my page came together...

some closer views..

Stamping, stencilling and lifting embellies up with foam tape..

I used four tags two on the side and two above my photo..

We went to Max Brenners for some thing yummy and they brought out this plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate for my DD... and I must admit the chocolate I ate that night was really delicious!!
Thanks for a great challenge MORE THAN WORDS I got to scrap this photo the month after it was taken!!!

and dont forget to pop over to the blog to see the way the design team have each created for this sketch..

and my take..

some closer views..

die cuts, clusters and some stamping on the back ground for interest..

The little hearts are from the cog die cut and the little flower gem has been in my stash for years.. I am trying to use stuff up, and perhaps it will take me years to make a dent, but you just gotta start somewhere!!!

my layout...  trust, love.

These photos are of my Dd and our old horse who is no longer with us after she hurt her foot really badly, so these moments are to be treasured...  Bess was a give away her owner no longer wanted her, but she had several happy years with us..  its funny how these old photos bring back the memories..

So again I do thank you for coming by, I do like to keep my blog going as it will be my digital scrap print and something to one day look back on...  and the comments you leave me are very special too...
